Dave Parker Eco Lodge Hotel (formerly known as 'Cloud 9 Resort') is an exclusive Hotel. Its hidden treasures of the natural world are kept secret and only those booked to stay get to discover the natural surroundings, waterfalls and birdlife.
We are a family-owned business on private family land, with 3-generations passing down our history and desire to protect our environment and wildlife.
We live in an unspoiled rainforest and want to keep it that way, so our guests can enjoy nature at its best!
Umu Making
Every Sunday, we have an interactive Umu making experience (traditional open fire - hot rocks cooking).
Have a go at husking, grating a coconut and squeezing out the coconut milk. Prepare taro leaves and the freshly squeezed coconut milk to make a traditional vegan Palusami dish and place on the hot rocks to cook.
Learn to weave your own plate using surrounding flax. Now you are ready to taste Samoa's traditional umu-style Sunday Lunch!
